Dr George AmofahThe Ghana Public Health Association is happy to announce that at the 52nd General Assembly of the World Federation of Public Health Associations (WFPHAs) held in Geneva on 20th May 2018, Dr George Amofah, the Vice President of Ghana Public Health Association, and the former Deputy Director General of Ghana Health Service, was appointed to serve as Africa representative on the 15-member Governing Council of the Federation.

The WFPHAs is a non-governmental Federation of all National Public Health Associations globally and is officially recognized by the World Health Organisation with the goal of promoting global health, mainly through advocacy.

We wish to take this opportunity to congratulate Dr George Amofah on his appointment,and hope that all shall provide him with the necessary support to enable him represent Ghana and Africa well on this prestigious Council.
